“W.L.” William Leffler Rushing, Jr., a Richmond Hill native, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at home after a long, hard battle with heart disease. W.L. worked for International Paper for over 30 years but retired to help is wife run the Jukebox, which they owned. After selling the bar they hit the road to travel around GA. Before W.L. became sick, he enjoyed camp hosting at campgrounds around GA with his wife, Brenda, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. W.L. was preceded in death by his parents, William L. Rushing, Sr., and Janie Rushing, and a brother, Alfred Rushing. W.L. is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Rushing; son, Frank Rushing (Michelle); daughter, Sandi Lowe (Ron); grandchildren, Christian Rushing (Emily), Ronnie Lowe, Emma Lowe, Emery Lowe, Alex Lowe, Larry Weisbarth and Haley Wiesbarth; two sisters, Mona Lisa Heller and Jean Phillips (Ellis); and many nieces and nephews. A special sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Jerome Davis and two special nieces that were like grandchildren, Mattie Davis and Brynn Davis Huggins. Visitation will be from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, on August 14, 2018 with a Celebration of Life beginning at 7:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel.
