William David McDonald Sr, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2025. David was born November 11, 1964, in Savannah, Georgia. David lived a remarkable life fueled by his passion for work, his great sense of humor and quick wit.
David’s relentless dedication to his work was clear through his many successful businesses. He was the founder of David McDonald Rentals along with many other business ventures throughout the years. At a very early age it was clear David was an Entrepreneur. He started his first business, a fence company, as a teen. David had several influential mentors throughout his life, whom he learned many things from that would shape and mold his decisions in business and in life. He lived by the saying “plan your work and work your plan”.
With calloused hands and relentless spirit, David had a nack for turning dirt into thriving subdivisions and multi family communities. There was never a quiet or dull moment around David. He loved to pick on his friends and those closest to him. David had a big heart and if he loved you, then he loved you for life and always had your back. His hands may be at rest, but the foundations he built- both in family and friends- will stand strong.
David will be dearly missed by his surviving family: loving wife Teresa McDonald; sister Debbie McDonald; children Daniel Dasher, David McDonald Jr, Bobbie McDonald; granddaughter Gracyn Dasher; and his beloved blue heeler, Rico. He is preceded in death by his parents Author McDonald, Bobbie McDonald, second mother Aunt Lurnell Horne, and a brother Lynn McDonald.
Active Pallbearers: Dewayne Wells, Patrick Bowen, Jeff Gaskin, Jason Blizzard, Joel Pifer, Jay McDonald, Kyle McDonald, and Bradley Dunn.
