Warren Chris Mitchell, born on January 27, 1945, in Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully at home October 29,2024. He lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love for his family and community.

Warren's commitment to his country was exemplified through his service in the United Marine Corps, where he earned the Purple Heart for bravery in combat during the Vietnam War. His courageous actions during this tumultuous period showcased not only his valor but also his unwavering sense of duty.

Beyond his military service, Warren was actively involved in his community, serving as a commander at the American Legion. His dedication to this organization highlighted his passion for supporting fellow veterans and fostering camaraderie among those who had served. As a life member, Warren played a pivotal role in maintaining the spirit and mission of the American Legion, influencing the lives of many.

He is survived by his blended family, Laken Segrest and Steven Segrest, who will carry forward his legacy of kindness and strength. Warren's memory will also be cherished by those who knew him for his warmth, humor, and unyielding support.

Warren was predeceased by his sister, Sibyl Mitchell, his daughter, Dottie Mitchell, and a baby grandchild. Each of these losses weighed heavily on his heart, and he carried their memories with him throughout his life.

Warren Chris Mitchell leaves behind a legacy of service, love, and devotion. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
