Stacy R. Wells, Jr.

Mr. Stacy R. Wells, Jr., 80, of Easley, SC passed away peacefully on July 11, 2020, with his loving brother and sister by his side.

Born in Hinesville, Georgia, he was a son of the late Stacy R. Wells, Sr., and the late Mildred Louise Groover Wells.  Stacy graduated from Georgia Southern College before then earning a master’s degree in English from the University of Georgia.  He was a proud employee of Forest Park Senior High School outside of Atlanta, GA, where he taught English and French for several decades before retiring.  Stacy always said that his greatest accomplishment was being an educator and helping to impact the lives of his students, which was his true passion.  He also enjoyed the arts, theater, and many genres of music.  He was an avid reader and liked watching classic movies.

He is survived by his brother, Harold Wells of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Angela Wells Tucker of Little Torch Key, FL; nieces and nephews, Charla Bloomer (Marc) of Easley, SC, Stacie Hargett (Phil) of St. Petersburg, FL, Carla Goodwin (Bill) of Hinesville, GA, and Pamela Russo (Rick) of Knoxville, TN; along with numerous cousins, great-nephews and great-nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Sylvia Wells McDonald. 

Due to the current public heath crisis, services will be family only.
