Ryan Christopher Hamby, known affectionately as RC, passed away at his residence on Friday, February 23, 2024.
Ryan lived a life adorned with simple pleasures that brought him immense joy. He found solace in activities such as fishing, riding his motorcycle, and most importantly, spending time with his two nieces, Novalie and Everleigh. Among Ryan's proudest accomplishments was the imminent arrival of his son, Ryan Alexander. This news brought him unparalleled happiness and a sense of fulfillment that knew no bounds—a legacy that will undoubtedly be cherished by his loved ones for generations to come.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wayne and Colleen Hamby and Don and Dorothy Followill; as well as his great-grandfather, Jack Quick.
He is survived by his daughter, Jalacy Brown; soon to be born son, Ryan Alexander; mother and father, Misty and Michael Quick; father, James Hamby; and sister, Brandy Hamby all of Long County, GA; two stepbrothers, Ty Quick and Hunter Quick of MS; grandparents, Bob and Carol Bovard of TN, Mike Quick of MS, and Anthony and Theresa Coffee of TX; great-grandmother, Betty Quick of MS; beloved nieces, Novalie Hamby and Everleigh Hamby; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home with Reverend Gabe Gill officiating.
