Ronald (Ronnie) D. Higgins

Ronald D. Higgins (Ronnie), 67, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

Ronnie was born in Erwin, TN and has lived in Richmond Hill for the past thirty-three years. He served in the U.S. Army for twenty years. During his enlistment he served in Desert Storm and Desert Shield and retired as a First Sergeant. He also retired from ILA 1475. He enjoyed antique cars and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Higgins; six children, Sabrina Higgins, Stephanie Higgins, Charles Higgins, Phillip Higgins (Heather), Jennifer Ravita, and Richard Linton; former wife, Donna Higgins; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry Taylor; two sisters, Charlotte Higgins and Carolyn Higgins; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Funeral services with Full Military Detail will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel with Reverend Barry Giddens officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Richmond Hill.
