Robert O. Phillips (Robbie)

Robert O. Phillips (Robbie), 66, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 13, 2020.

Robbie was born on March 17, 1953 in Savannah, GA and was a lifelong resident of Richmond Hill. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast for over 50 years and wore many hats in his family. He was an avid animal lover, a loving husband, dad, papa, granddaddy, great-granddaddy, friend, and caregiver to all who knew and loved him. He was a hopeless romantic to his beautiful wife and he will be terribly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Levi Phillips; mother, Carolyn Hodges Cowart; stepfather, Samuel Cowart; and wife, Nancy MacDonnell.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Thompson Phillips; children, Margaret (wife, B.J.), Cindy, Becky, and Bobby (wife, Amanda), and stepdaughter, Rebecca; grandchildren, Jay, Jessica, Christina, Robbie, Brandi, Becky, Cassie, Kailey, Audrey, Amanda, Jayden, and Savannah Rae; four great-grandchildren; seven not so friendly chihuahuas; and several other family members.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel with Pastor Robbie Goodman officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey East Cemetery in Savannah.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Phillips, Chuck Tuscano, Adam Groves, Robbie Smith, Jasper Sears, and Joshua West.
