Richard Stringer, 61, passed away on Friday, September 14, 2018 at home surrounded by his family and friends. Richard lived most of his life in Richmond Hill. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, James T. Stringer, Sr.; brother, Michael Stringer; and sister, Charlene Gemar. He is survived by his wife, Marie Stringer; children, Ricky Stringer, Toni Reeves, Samantha Smith, Celina Smith, John Rackley, and Catlin Coburn; 13 grandchildren; mother, Mildred Oliver Lawrence; brothers, Patrick Stringer, Thomas Stringer, James Stringer, Jr., and Stephen Stringer; sister, Dianne Mosley; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and would like to see everyone wear camo to celebrate Richard’s life. Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
