Patrick “Pops” Kussard, at age 76, peacefully went to be with Our Lord on March 27, 2021 after a short illness.
Patrick was a true cheesehead, born In Green Bay, Wisconsin on February 12, 1945 as WW II was ending. As an adult, he moved his family to the sunny coast of Florida and eventually settled in Georgia. He spent his working years as a supervisor in an automotive warehouse where he was a very valued employee and embodied the old school work ethic, but enjoyed many years of retirement. He enjoyed spending time fishing and caring for all types of animals. He was a loving and understanding father to his son and daughter and a proud grandfather to his grandchildren, great-grandchild, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Kussard; mother, Marcella (Vendervest) Kussard; and ex-wife and friend, Judith (Johnson) Kussard.
He is survived by his brother, Mark Kussard (JoAnne); brother-in-law, John Johnson (Lily); son, Jeffrey Kussard; daughter, Angel (Kussard) Turner (Jonathan); grandchildren, Kyle Turner and Vivian Turner; great-grandchild, Christina (Patterson) Kirkendall (Jonathan); great-great grandchildren, Abran and Gavin; and close friends who were his family, Eddie Steinman, Sam (Brenda) McBride, Mike and Laura Rogers, Ruth (Wilson) Pudelski, Donny Mathena and Chris Patterson; along with many extended family members, and numerous friends.
At Patrick’s request, no formal service will be held, only a brief farewell from immediate family.
