Norma Jean Walker, 84, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Odum, GA and lived most of her life in Richmond Hill. She was a Charter Member of Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, especially with her family. More than anything, she loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.M. Walker, Jr.; and son-in-law, Dennis Burnsed.
She is survived by her children, Bettie Walker Folds (Don), Ricky Walker (Staci), Velinda Burnsed, Rodger Walker (Pam), Jean Walker Rhinehart (Dan), and Jan Walker Lee (Mitch); twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Ormandy (Bob); and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church, 40 White Oak Lane, Richmond Hill, GA 31324. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
