Naomi Pray Maxwell, 100, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019, at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville.
Mrs. Maxwell was born in Midway December 23, 1918, to Lucius and Annie Bell Pray. She was an excellent wife and mother and a very loving individual. Among her passions were quilting, reading, and singing. Her favorite scripture was the Twenty-Third Psalm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Maxwell, one son, Willie Roy Pope, and her sister, Candis Harrington.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Maxwell Steen of Pensacola, FL; three sons, Robert L. Maxwell, James Peter Maxwell, and John Henry Maxwell, all of Midway; one grandson, Terry L. Maxwell (Pamela) of Pensacola; two great-granddaughters, Shaleigh Vallee (Jamaal) of Wilson, NC, and Gabrielle D. Maxwell of Pensacola; three step-great-grandchildren, Asia, Anthony, and Destiney; one great-great-grandson, Ezra Vallee; and a special cousin, Gladys Walthour and family.
Visitation will be 6-7 pm, Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2019, in the chapel of the funeral home.
