Miriam Findley White (“Nana”), 73, passed away on September 26, 2021, after a long illness. She was Assistant Director at Westwood Day Care Learning Center in Hinesville for 23 years before her retirement. She was born April 15, 1948, in Richmond Hill, GA, to P.B. and Ollie Carter Findley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie White, parents P.B. and Ollie Findley, siblings W.B. Findley, Elbert Findley, Ellington Findley, Wilda Myrick, Betty Myrick Seymour, Shirley Wilson, and granddaughter Zoey Covington White. Miriam loved Elvis, NCIS, and puzzles. She was passionate about reading and books, and an avid collector of all things Coca-Cola. Above all, Miriam loved her family. Upon entering Heaven, there is no doubt she exclaimed, “Ya-ba-daba-doo!” She is survived by her children, Shonda White and Ronald “Duce” White (Becca); grandchildren, Samantha Dempsey (Jessie), Nathan Youschak Hayden White, Casey Windham, Jason Valentine, and Jonathan Valentine. Additionally, Miriam leaves behind her sisters, Estelle Clark and Kathryn Wilson; step-children, Mark White, and Loretta Watson; great-grandchildren, Sophia and JJ Dempsey; and numerous nieces, and nephews. A walk-through visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Burial will immediately follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fleming, GA.
