Michael L. King "Mike", 64, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 after a brief illness at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
Mike was a veteran of the U.S. Army and lived most of his life in Richmond Hill. He was an outgoing person and never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James William King, Sr. and Blanche Eloise Carter King; brother, James William King, Jr.; and son, Michael Leon King, Jr.
Mike is survived by two daughters, Destiny West (Richie) of Midway, GA, and Mica Gunn (Wes) of Cypress, TX; grandchildren, Jurnee Busch (Josh), Hayes West, Taylor Gunn, Kade Gunn, Gavin Gunn, Journey Whitman, and Madalyn King; great-granddaughter, Kendall Walls; and three brothers, Mark King (Susan), Matt King (Donna), and Jeffrey King (Kim).
Funeral services with Military Honors will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Mike's family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 8819 US-301, Glennville, GA 30427.
