Michael R. Cannon, 49, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home in Hinesville, GA.
He was a welder by trade and had been a member of Pipefitters Local 188 in Savannah for eight years. The best times of his life were spent with his family, friends, and kids. He was a good-hearted man, quick to forgive, and generous to a fault. Animals were drawn to him and he tried to save every bird or squirrel that was hurt. Michael loved life and lived it to the fullest. He liked to fish, ride bikes, play guitar, kayak, and travel. Neighbors could call on him for help and kids could count on him to ride bicycles, play ball, or just chase them.
Michael is survived by his 9-year-old son, Cain Michael Cannon, who was the love of his life and the center of his world; mother and step-father, Virginia B. Cannon and Forrest W. Beal of Hinesville, GA; father, Leiland E. Cannon of Chenoa, IL; one sister, Madonna Johnson of Ft. Hood, TX; one brother, Bruce R. Moore of Birmingham, AL; one uncle, Gary D. Fairchild, of Newcomb, NY; three nieces; three nephews; thirteen grand-nieces and nephews who loved their “Uncle Mike” with all their hearts.
