Mary Torres, 91, passed away on Thursday, June 23,2022 surrounded by her family.
Mary lived most of her life in New York and for the past thirty years lived in Hinesville. She was a devoted member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mary enjoyed the outdoors and reading. She loved listening to the radio and watching baseball.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; her parents, Patrick and Mary; two sisters; and one brother.
Mary is survived by five children, Catherine Marie Torres, Francisco Torres Jr. (Michelle), Eileen McGirt (Curtis), Michael Joseph Torres, and Anthony Torres (Rangadevi); twelve grandchildren, Richie Perfidio (Jeanne), Katrina Khalil (Ehab), Erin Perfidio, Francisco Torres III, Damien Torres, Sandra Nash (Marlon), Jasmine Haynes (Antonio), DeShawn McGirt, Tajshay Torres, Anthony J. Torres, Jessica Torres, and Logan Jimenez-Torres; ten great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Gavin, Reese, Remy, Alysia, Marlon, III, Makariy, Antonio Jr., Anthony and Ace.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 399 Woodland Dr, Hinesville, GA with Father Adam Kasela officiating.
