Martha "Jeanie" Eugenia Frost

Martha Eugenia (Jeanie) Frost, 67, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at home.

Jeanie was born July 7, 1953 to Thelmer and Myrtle Salter. She lived in Liberty County her whole life. She graduated from Armstrong State College with a degree in Criminal Justice. She retired as an adult probation officer with the State of Georgia in 1991. She loved being a mother to her son, Jesse and enjoyed watching him grow into an adult and father.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Chuck” Frost by 37 days, two daughters, Megan and Renee; father and mother, Thelmer and Myrtle Salter; and three brothers, Robert, Roland, and Franklin (Gramps).

She is survived by her son, Jesse Frost (Chelsea); grandson, Derek Frost; two sisters, Sue Nell Neal (Bob) and Beverly Hill; two brothers, Ken Salter (Haroldene) and Ray Salter (Penny); along with several nieces and nephews.

A walk-through visitation for immediate family and by invitation from Jeanie’s son, Jesse will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Sam Davis officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.
