Latrelle M. Wells, 79, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her home in Gum Branch, Georgia.
Latrelle was born on September 2, 1941 in Ludowici, Georgia to James Willis and Marion Elizabeth Middleton. She graduated from Long County High School in 1959. She received her Master’s in Education degree from Georgia Southern University. Latrelle retired from teaching after thirty-six years. She was married to the love of her life, Theodore Russell Wells, Jr. for fifty-three years.
Latrelle loved spending time with family and friends. She was known for her love for the Lord. She touched many lives with her strong Christian faith. She spent her free time reading her Bible and watching the Hallmark channel.
She is survived by her husband; Theodore Russell Wells, Jr.; three children, Rick Wells, Penny Hickey, and Suzanne Hunt; eight grandchildren, Amy, Jessica, James, Megan, Stephanie, Cole, Klein and Krews; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Shelby, Aubrey, Jacob, Ty, Garrett, Tatum, Heaven, Jude, Dahlia, Jaylin, River, Aaron, and Paisley.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Elim Baptist Church with Clay Rowe officiating. Latrelle’s family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
