Margaret Ann Ramsey (née Branch), age 80, passed away on July 9, 2024, at home on Colonels Island, Georgia.
Born on November 21, 1943, in Savannah, Georgia, Ann lived a life marked by her love for her family, her dedication to her friends, and her active participation in local politics. Ann was renowned for her culinary skills and her open-hearted nature; she never met a stranger and was a loyal friend. Her love for the Georgia coast was profound and she spent many happy moments there throughout her life.
She leaves behind her husband, Allen Ramsey; her children, Leah Hall Martin (Chip), Allen Hall and Rodney Hall. Ann was a cherished grandmother to Elizabeth Carter (Simon), Ned Woolfolk, Morgan Mannion (Larry), Emily Wesley (Matt), and Aly Henderson (Ty), and adored by her eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Joey Hall, her brothers Robert Allen Branch and Donald Gary Branch, and her parents Katherine "Kitty" Branch and Allen F. Branch.
A service to celebrate Ann's life will be held at Midway Methodist Church, 215 Martin Rd. Midway, Georgia on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 12:00 PM.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Anderson, Robert Branch, Lee Branch, Geoffrey Branch, Jacob Branch, and Lenny Hall.
Following the service, the family will receive friends in the social hall with lunch being served. Ann's memory will be cherished by all who knew her as a loving family member, a devoted friend, and an engaged and passionate community member.
