Margaret (Maggie) Anne Plunk, 82, passed peacefully on April 13, 2024, surrounded by her immediate family and close friends after a courageous battle with cancer.
Maggie first arrived in Midway 35 years ago to be close to her sister, Cathy, and brother-in-law George Taylor. She actively participated in fellowship and worship at Fleming Baptist and most recently Midway Methodist Church. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family. For many years her passion was designing and building wood crafts to sell and share with friends.
Maggie is survived by her two sons, Brett Kook and his wife, Jennifer and Doug Murr and his wife, Courtney; and five grandchildren, Riley, Finn and Lucy Murr, and Michael and Jonathon Kook.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Midway United Methodist Church with Pastor Hank Perry officiating. Maggie's family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. A luncheon will generously be provided by Midway United Methodist Church for family and friends following the burial in the church social hall.
