Ken "Gravy" Blanton, 60, passed on Monday March 17th, 2025 at Memorial Health University Medical Center after a short illness with his loving family by his side.
He was a life long resident of Hinesville, he was a member of the sons of the American Legion. Gravy was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed playing pool. He liked country and gospel music.
Ken is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Tom and Dorothy Miness ; Paternal Grandparents Bill and Luease Blanton and his father J. Bobby Blanton.
He is survived by his mother Faye (Jack) Morris of Hinesville, 2 brothers Jeff (Liza) Blanton of Jesup and Tim (Chana) Blanton of Hinesville, a step-sister Jill Morris of Hinesville, and a special aunt Bobbie Poole of Hinesville Georgia, 2 children Kenneth and Tonya; 4 grandchildren, 12 nieces + nephews; 19 great Nieces and nephews, one great-great niece; 12 cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday March 22nd, 2025 at Carter Funeral Home at 2 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 22nd, 2025 at the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home at 3 p.m. with Rev. Mike Cowart and Rev. Tim Horne officiating.
Burial will immediately follow the service in Wells Cemetery in Gum Branch.
Carter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
