Kathy Yvonne Sikes

Kathy Yvonne Sikes, 62, passed away peacefully at her home on August 1, 2024 surrounded by her family under the care of GHC Hospice. She was born on August 6, 1961, in Marietta, Georgia. She Moved to South GA in the 80's to make it her forever home. Kathy will be remembered not only for her successful career, but also as a loving wife. mother, and Nana who cherished spending time with her family.

Kathy graduated from Bradwell Institute and went on to establish herself as a dedicated insurance agent. Her warm personality shined through in her interactions with clients and coworkers alike. Beyond her professional life, Kathy found joy in the simple pleasures of life - she particularly enjoyed the beach and the coastal areas.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband Charles Sikes (Wumpy), her sons Greg Sikes (Jessica) of Brunswick, GA, and Trey Sikes (Alexis) of Fernandina Beach, FL. She leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Eason, Alaina, Avery, Elise, Emory, Cayman, and Stetson. A sister, Terri Gillmore and a niece, Jaimie Gillmore. A long with her brother and sister-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Lee (Roy Calfred), her father James Wynn, as well as infant son Jeffrey Allan Sikes.

Kathy's dedication to her family and friends was unwavering. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to GHC in memory of Kathy.

A private graveside service to honor and remember Kathy will be held for family and close friends on August 5, 2024, at Oglethorpe Memorial Park in Hinesville, Georgia. The service will commence at 11:00 AM.
