Kang Yon Ok Lee “Kay”, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness.
Kay was born on August 14, 1937 in Korea and lived the past 40 years in Hinesville. She was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church of Hinesville. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a loving wife and mother and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Wayne Lee.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, William H. Lee; two children, Victoria Lee Hawkins and William H. Lee, Jr.; sister, Kay Lovett; brother, Kang Woon Tee; two grandchildren, Captain Zachary Lee Hawkins and Jacob Futch; and many extended family members.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Burial will immediately follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Park Cemetery.
