Hazel Clark, a lifelong resident of Richmond Hill, GA, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on March 16, 1960 she was a woman of steadfast and enduring love, whose life was a testament to the virtues of kindness and devotion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Jerome Ogden; father and mother, Richard Allen Clark, Sr. and Juanita Clark; three brothers, Richard Allen Clark Jr., Roger Clark and Marvin Clark.
Hazel leaves behind her children, Crystal Dykes-Newsome and Joseph Dykes; grandchildren, Amanda Alexander (Blake), Dylan England, Collin England; great-grandchild, Ellis Alexander; brothers, Charles Clark (Dora), James Clark, Mark Clark, and Benjamin Clark; two sisters, Gloria Galbreath and Martha Woods (Dolan); and numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly.
Hazel's feisty spirit and warm smile were the hallmarks of her character, endearing her to all who knew her. Her fiercely protective devotion to her family will be cherished in the hearts and memories of her family. She was a source of wisdom and comfort. Her words often providing solace and her actions reflecting the depth of her compassion.
As we mourn Hazel's passing, we also celebrate the rich legacy she leaves behind—a legacy marked by her giving nature, her cherishing of family bonds, and her reverence for the heavenly Father. Her memory will be held dear in the hearts of her loved ones and all who were touched by her compassion and generous spirit. In this time of remembrance, we take comfort in the knowledge that Hazel has been received into the arms of her Savior, and that she now rests in eternal peace. She will be profoundly missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Fleming, GA.
