Geraldine JnoBaptiste Pierre affectionately known as Ma Tutu, passed away

peacefully on November 7 th , 2024, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, United States of America. She was born on October 16 th , 1932, to the late Aaron JnoBaptiste and Virginia JnoBaptise Ne Austrie in St Joseph, Dominica. Before migrating to the United States Geraldine spent countless years as specialist cook at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Dominica. Her later years were spent working as a KP at Fort Stewart, Georgia. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Pierre, better known as Gabby from St.Joseph, Dominica, as well as her first daughter Leandra Scotland affectionately known as "Sister.”

She leaves to mourn:8 beloved children, Carlton Scotland, Emmanuel (Chris) Skerrit (AnnMarie Skerrit), Corbin Skerrit (Julietta Skerrit), McRoy Skerrit, Paula JnoBaptiste, Dr. Clarine Pierre, Verlyn Joseph, and Runa JnoBaptiste. 25 Grand-Children: Dr. Donna Cuffy Edmund (Noah), Donnalyn, Shyka Scotland JD., Dr. Kymora Scotland, Samuel (Cynthia), Kimora, Kyneri, Kishwana(Jose), Joy, Dominic(Latoya) , April(Dwayne), Russell, Keven, Junior, Mickey, Nicole, Eboni, Nayambie, Savannah, Jillian(Wilton), Justine, Leandra, Sherika, and Zaizkine.

24 Great-Grand: Mercallis, Iternity, Ebony, Nigel, Alyssa, Mckenzie, K”LA”, Kenan, Ethan, Elizabeth, Mikayla, Maryse, Alivia, Niah, Myla, Ethan, Eian, Noalan ,Landon, Khloe, Chance, Leandra, Aiden and Wisdom  1 Great-Great Grand: Micah Adopted Children: Bennett and Simbert 3 Siblings: Alberta Christian (Maryland), Jerry JnoBaptiste (Dominica), and Johnson JnoBaptiste (England) Sister and Brother-in-Law: Polly JnoBaptiste in Canada, Greena JnoBaptise in Dominica, and Elandas Pierre of Dominica, many nieces and nephews, The JnoBaptiste family of Dominica, and close friends Angela Romain and Stephen Isidor of Dominica, and Martha Jones in Hinesville, Georgia. 

The family will receive friends at Carter Funeral Home on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 6 P.M.

A celebration of Geraldine JnoBaptiste Pierre’s life is being held at 1:00 on November 23rd, 2024, at Gum Branch Baptist Church. 

Burial will immediately follow the service at Oglethorpe Memorial Park in Hinesville, Georgia where Geraldine will be laid to rest. 

Geraldine’s kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. She will be deeply missed by her family, many friends, and all who knew her.
