Georgia Lee Ringer Brady

Georgia Lee Ringer Brady, 91, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at home surrounded by her family.

Georgia was born on July 8, 1929 in Lindale, TX to Elmer and Oleta Tucker Ringer and lived most of her life in Hinesville, GA. For thirteen years, she worked as a people greeter at Wal-Mart in Hinesville. She was a friendly person and loved meeting new people. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Oleta Ringer; husband, Rufus Elmer Brady; two sons, Chris and Mackie; one daughter, Patricia (Pat); and two sisters, Marie and Margie.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheila Richey (Joseph) of Hinesville, GA and Debbie Brown (Rickey) of Gladewater, TX; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dan Ringer (Mary) of Orange, TX and Harold “Son” Ringer (Sandy) of Call, TX; her caregiver, Cindy Brady; two very dear friends, Sandra Rook and Lori Taylor; two very special friends, Bob and Grace Day; and several nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Crossroads Holy Church of God with Reverend Jeptha Newberry officiating. Georgia’s family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Park Cemetery.
