Elizabeth Yount Serrao

Elizabeth "Libby" Yount Serrao, 76, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 in Richmond Hill, GA surrounded by her family. She is the daughter of Eugene Thompson Yount and Frances Elizabeth Hartley of Reidsville, NC. Elizabeth was a graduate of Reidsville High School and Western Carolina University. Following a nearly 20-year career as a Medical Technologist, Elizabeth continued to work in the medical field as an Administrative Assistant and caregiver, retiring as a hospital gift shop worker. Artist and craftswoman, Elizabeth loved painting, wreath-making, photography, and many other creative endeavors. She adored the beach, the mountains, and nature in general, all while spending time with her family. Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert Serrao, and 3 children, daughters Mary Serrao and Kathryn Serrao Delk (Kenny Delk), and son Michael Serrao (Amy Moore Serrao) as well as 3 granddaughters, Sara Delk, Grace Delk, and Charlie Serrao. She is also survived by a large extended family including sisters Brenda Rooker Keeter and Lindy Yount Mulford, brothers David Yount, Alan Yount, and Tom Yount as well as 10 nieces and 4 nephews. Libby was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother Samuel Yount. A visitation will be held Thursday July 19, 2018 from 5pm – 7pm at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel, 10512 Ford Ave, Richmond Hill, GA. A memorial service will begin at 10:00 am on Friday July 20, 2018 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 10550 Ford Ave, Richmond Hill, GA followed by a 12 pm graveside service at The Catholic Cemetery, 1720 Wheaton Street, Savannah, GA.
