Elizabeth Helen Connolly, a devoted mother and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully at her home on November 13, 2024. Born on May 27, 1951, in Fairfax County, Virginia, Elizabeth was a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of many with her kindness and hard work.
She dedicated her life to education, earning a Masters Degree in English and History and inspiring countless students throughout her teaching career. Elizabeth was also a familiar face at Dominos Pizza, where her warm personality made a lasting impression on both colleagues and customers.
A loving mother, she is survived by her family, including her daughters Deborah Clark of Ludowici, John of Ludowici, Mary of Ludowici, Caroline (David) of Moultrie, GA, and Jeanie of Tifton, GA; her son Marvin Jr. of Aurora, OH; and her 15 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Michael (Samantha), William, Kyle, Joey (Marianela), Joshua (Shelly), Kendall, Kayla (Jesse), Taylor (Blake), Mia (Matthew), Abigail, Piper, Maggie, Lucy, Matthew, and Maverick. Her siblings, Michael (Mary), Patrick (Pat), and William, also carry on her legacy.
Elizabeth had a deep love for her animals, caring for 17 dogs and 5 cats, as well as tending to her horses and plants. In her leisure time, she enjoyed word searching and reading, activities that brought her joy and allowed her to connect with the world around her.
Elizabeth joins her predeceased family members in eternal rest: her parents Robert Connolly and Shirley Donforth, her beloved daughter Glenda, her son Robert, her daughter Shirley, and her siblings Martin and Anne.
Her life will be celebrated with visitation planned for November 16, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home in Hinesville, GA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Stephen Catholic Church on November 20, 2024, at 12:00 AM.
