Ditha Dykes Troha

Ditha (Dot) Dykes Troha passed away peacefully December 9, 2024 at home under the care of Your Family Hospice. 

Born June 25, 1932, in Toombs County, Georgia to Major and Annie Dykes, she moved at an early age to Liberty County where she resided the rest of her life. She was a 1950 graduate of Bradwell Institute. She married Phillip Troha on November 7, 1955. She retired from Civil Service at Fort Stewart, Georgia after many of years of service, and was a member of Allenhurst Presbyterian Church. Her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Major Dykes, Jr. and Lenard Dykes, predeceased her. 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Marla Troha of Hinesville; grandson Ryan Troha and his wife, Sarah, of Hinesville; grandson Ethan Troha of Atlanta; great-granddaughters Emersyn and Elliotte Troha of Hinesville; sisters Sue Miller of Orlando, Florida, and Janelle Wilkes (Barry) of Townsend; and sister-in-law Martha Dykes of Midway. Many nieces and nephews also survive. The family wishes to recognize and give special thanks to the caregivers who made her final months at home comfortable: Lillie Bacon, Crystal Boyd, Julia Henry, Jamie Cullen, Ellen McCurry, Penny Winn, Katie West, and Rose Fleming.

 A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Allenhurst Presbyterian Cemetery with Reverend Ben Beasley officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Ryan Troha, Ethan Troha, Jeff Mobley, Jonathan Caines, and Wade Long.
