Daryl J. Carr, 45, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Liberty Regional Hospital in Hinesville.
He lived in Hinesville the past eight years. He was a combat veteran of the U.S. Army where he served in Iraq and Afghanistan, and a year in South Korea. He enjoyed cooking, playing video games, crabbing, and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his daughters.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Carr.
He is survived by his wife of twenty years, LeAnn Carr; two daughters, Kairi Carr and Milissa Carr; mother and step-father, Paul and Janet Axtell; brother, William Carr; sister Keirri Wilbourn; and several nieces, and nephews.
Memorial services will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 30, 2021 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. A walk-through visitation will be for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Georgia.
Social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are required to enter the funeral home.
