Cynthia McGuire

The sweet soul of Cynthia Diane Holland-McGuire left this world on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 3:32 pm and returned to her Heavenly Home for which she belonged after 62 years of beautiful, generous life.

Cindy touched the lives of nearly every person she met with her loving attitude, strong faith, humorous demeanor, and gracious smile. In her younger years, Cindy was baptized at the DeRenne Avenue Church of God later to be married there at the age of 22 to Chris R. McGuire. She graduated in 1978 from Pathway Day School in Savannah, worked as a clerk at the Thunderbolt Police Station for 19 years then for the Richmond Hill Police Station for 23 years.

Since 2006 Cindy has been an essential member of Grace Point Worship Center in Fleming, GA. Cindy was a woman of many talents and hobbies including poetry, crafting, cat cuddling, building lasting friendships, proud Mother of her endearing son, astounding storyteller, go-to decorator, active listener, and exceptional advice giver. Her legacy lasts beyond her short years with us, carried on with her son Garrett McGuire of Richmond Hill. Cynthia’s beauty shined bright upon us all, and we will remember how good her heart was always thankful to the Lord until her last moments.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Cindy's family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Savannah.
