Charles F. LaValley, a dedicated and honorable retired Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Air Force, passed away peacefully at his home on February 28, 2025, at the age of 85. His last moments were spent surrounded by his loving wife, Kyong LaValley, who provided unwavering support throughout their life together.

Born on November 12, 1939, Charles lived a life marked by service, commitment, and integrity. His military career was characterized by diligence and a profound sense of duty, qualities that endeared him to many. After years of service to his country, he transitioned into retirement, yet remained an active and engaged member of his community.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Esther LaValley, both of whom played significant roles in shaping the values and principles he held dear throughout his life. He cherished the memories of his family and carried their teachings with him.

Charles leaves behind a legacy of love, honor, and dedication that will be remembered by all who knew him. His presence will be dearly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to share in his life.

he family will receive friends starting at 1 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home on Tuesday March 11th, 2025.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday March 11th, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Carter Funeral Home.

Burial with military honors will be held on Thursday March 13, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. 

Carter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
