Betty Sue Smith

Betty Sue Smith, 89, passed on Monday March 3rd, 2025 at Ocean Side Care Center.

Betty lived most of her life in Hinesville.  Betty was a member of Hinesville First Baptist Church and worked in the nursery for 25 years.  She enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes.  She was preceded in death by her husband Freeman L. Smith.

She is survived by her 2 sons and daughter -in-laws, Robert (Connie) Smith and Darrell (Lori) Smith; Brother Gerrald Phillips; Four Grandchildren  Jessica Zoucks, Kyle Smith ;Nicole LaFleur; and Lake Haynes; Six Great Grandchildren , several nieces and nephews; And some very special friends Bernedette and Sheryl.

Active Pallbearers: Kyle Smith, Patrick Zoucks, James Smith, Jeff, Mobley, Billy Smith, and Garrett Smith.

The family will receive friends starting at 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday March 6th, 2025 At Carter Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 6th, 2025 at 1:30 in the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home.

Burial will immediately follow the service in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations to Hinesville First Baptist Church.
