Alberta Louise Hood, beloved wife and devoted mother, passed away on November 1,2024, at Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born on September 29, 1984, in Sharon, Pennsylvania, Alberta was a vibrant soul whose warm spirit touched the lives of many.
Alberta was the cherished wife of Jerry Jackson, and together they created a loving home filled with laughter and joy. As a devoted mother, Alberta found immense fulfillment in raising her five wonderful children: Hunter, Abigail, Kaitlyn, Caleb, and Kayli. Her unwavering love for them was evident in everything she did, and they will always treasure the precious memories they shared as a family.
She is survived by her mother, Teresa Hood Wilson, and her father, Curtis Lee Wilson, who provided love and support throughout her life. Alberta also leaves behind her siblings, Elizabeth, Eddie Wayne, and Charles, who shared countless moments of laughter and companionship with her.
Alberta’s vibrant personality and generous spirit extended beyond her family. As an organ donor, she exemplified her selflessness, wishing to give the gift of life to others even in her passing.
Alberta was preceded in death by both sets of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and Mr. and Mrs. Hood, who welcomed her into eternity.
A memorial service to honor Alberta’s life will be held on November 9, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Carter Funeral Home located at 308 West Oglethorpe Hwy, Hinesville, GA 31313.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
