Lannie Lamar Lee Jr.

Lannie L. Lee, Jr. 77, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011. He was born in Ludowici, GA and graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School in Florida. He joined the Air Force and served for thirty years retiring with an honorable discharged. While in the Air Force, he became a flight engineer and reached the rank of Master Sargent. His father Lannie L. Lee Sr. had a construction company in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Lannie Jr. became a master in the masonry trade. His main hobby was aviation. Lannie is preceded in death by his parents Lannie Sr. and Dorothy Lee. He is survived by his wife and 57 years, Janie Messer Lee; one daughter, Linda Louise Clary of Washington, IL; one son, Lannie L. Lee III (Debra) of Savannah, GA ; four grandchildren, Steven Fitton II (Nicole), Lannie L. Lee IV (Lisa), LeeAnn Grebner (Jerod), and Christopher Lee; and two great granddaughters Emilee and Kylee; two sisters, Annette Abbey (Charles) of Ludowici, Joanne Wenger of Ft. Lauderdale; brother Dale Lee (Marsha) of Ft. Lauderdale. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Elim Baptist Church. Visitation will one hour prior to service at the church. Burial, with full military honors, will follow the service at the Elim Baptist Cemetery.
