William (Bill) Henderson Brodie, Jr.

William Bill Henderson Brodie, Jr. passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the age of 74 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born July 3, 1937 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to his parents, William and Katherine (Peters) Brodie. He grew up in Hinesville and was a member of the Bradwell Institutes Class of 57. Bill honorably served his country in the United States Army where he earned the rank of Sergeant. He married the love of his life, Jacqueline Stoup Brodie. He provided a warm and loving home for his family by working for the Federal Aviation Administration for more than 30 years. In his spare time, Bill enjoyed many hobbies including scanning the frequencies with his Ham Radio and tinkering with trains. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Brodie; sons William H. Brodie III (Bren), Steven D. Brodie, Brian A. Brodie (Shannon Perkins-Brodie); and one granddaughter, Katherine Brodie all of Oklahoma City. Visitation will be Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home followed by graveside services at the Hinesville Cemetery.
