Richmond Hill Cookie Harn, James E. Harn, Sr., 73, died Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Candler Hospital after a long Illness. He was the son of Marvin L. and Virginia C. Harn. A life-long resident of Richmond Hill and Savannah, "Cookie" greatly loved and enjoyed family, sports, and dancing, at which he was exceptionally good. His business career included employment with The Herty Foundation, The C & S Bank and ownership with his wife of The Richmond Hill Florist. He was a member of the Cobra Club. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Tiara. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Myers Harn; children, James E. Harn, Jr. and Dusty Harn Sivils and husband Mark Sivils of Crystal River, Fla.; grandchildren, Tyler Harn, Dillon and Demi Sivils; surviving siblings Robert E. Harn, Wade M. and Coralyn (Wiley) Harn of Sherrills Ford, N.C., and Emma Jo Shearin of Savannah. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Carter Funeral Home, Bryan Chapel in Richmond Hill. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Flowers will be accepted but remembrances can be sent to the American Heart Association , Lupus Association, American Diabetes Association or the American Lung Association .
