Ludowici Richard Dale Eason, 76, died Friday, August 10, 2012 at his home under the care of Hospice of South Ga. He was a native of Liberty County and lived in Ludowici for 19 years. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and retired from Civil Services on Fort Stewart after 28 years. He was a member of Jones Creek Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife Jean Pearce Eason; 2 sons Richard David Eason of Louisville, KY and Guy Douglas Eason of Albany; a daughter Mary Ann Durrence of Ludowici; 4 brothers James Eason of Guyton, Eurith and Marion Eason of Hinesville, and Rev. Joe Eason of Statesboro; 9 grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Services will be Sunday, August 12, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Barnett and Rev. Dennis Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Faith Memorial Gardens. Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff at Hospice of South Ga and Pallbearers will be Richard Timothy Eason, Herschel Jonathan Eason, Alexander James Eason, Gregory Dale Eason, Brandon Michael Eason, and Joshua Creg Wasdin.
