Jennifer Isabel Jernigan

MIDWAY - Jennifer Isabel Jernigan, 26, died in a single car accident in Midway, Georgia on August 12, 2012. Jennifer was the daughter of Diane Hearon-Moore and Travis Moore, and David Michael and Lorraine Way Jernigan. She was born on December 29, 1985, the oldest of a blended family of nine children. Sports were Jennifer's first love. She played basketball for the AAU Lady Gators at the University of Florida. Though volleyball became her favorite sport and she was awarded a women's volleyball scholarship to St. Petersburg College in Florida. She also excelled at a variety of water sports...surfing, water skiing, knee boarding, and wake boarding. And Jennifer could out fish the men in her family and friends. The best sight to behold was watching her in action behind a cue stick. Jennifer attended elementary, jr. high and high school in Keystone Heights, Florida. She was the Miss Sweetheart Pageant Queen in Keystone Heights. She finished high school at Liberty High School in Hinesville, Georgia. Jennifer enjoyed operating the warehouse Gator and worked at JCB Construction Equipment as an Inventory Specialist. Jennifer loved and was loved by her family and had a multitude of friends from many cultures. She is survived by her parents; siblings Christina & Kyle Donnelly (bro-in-law), Saralyn, Michael, James, Kassie, Tabitha, Kaelin, and Tanner; grandparents James and Marilyn Hearon; great-grandfather Julian Sturgess,; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by a cousin, Amy Johns, and a great-grandmother, Helen Sturgess. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 18 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1200 King George Blvd., Savannah, GA 31419. Please wear dress flip-flops in the spirit of Jennifer's request.
