George "Wade" Guyett

Hinesville George Wade Guyett, Sr. 66, died Sunday at St. Josephs Hospital after a long illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Liberty County. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict and retired from the Ga. National Guard at Ft. Stewart after 23 years. He was a member of Live Oak Church of God in Hinesville. He is predeceased by his parents Harold and Earldine Guyett and brothers Ernie and Dennis Guyett. Survivors are his wife Wanda M. Guyett of Hinesville; son George W. (Melissa) Guyett of Hinesville; daughter Kathryn (Mark) Sharpe of Claxton; sister Bobbie Deen (Buddy) Blake of Greeley, Col.; brothers Ken (Judy) Guyett of Hinesville and Russell (Kelly) Guyett of Hinesville. 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hinesville Cemetery.
