Edgar William Moorhouse

Townsend, GA Edgar W. Moorhouse, age 84 passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012 at Hospice of the Golden Isles with his family by his side. He was born in New York City on September 17, 1928, the son of the late Courtney and Mary (Ryan) Moorhouse. Edgar was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a loving husband of C. Claudette (Tracey), and formerly of So. Dartmouth, MA. He was a parishioner of St. Annes Catholic Church in Richmond Hill, served as Eucharistic Minister, and was the recipient of the Bishop Gartland Service Award. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in New Bedford, MA. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Claudette Moorhouse; a daughter Cheri (Thomas Clancy) of Dania, Florida; a son Matthias Moorhouse (Theresa) of Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Kylie & Colby Moorhouse and Bryce Clancy; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Arlene Walsh and Audrey Leeman. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Annes Catholic Church Building Fund or Hospice of Golden Isle. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Annes Catholic Church followed by military honors. Online Condolences can be made at www.carterbryanchapel.com.
