Finis Ray Layton

Finis Ray Layton, 75, died suddenly at St. Josephs Hospital.  He was a past heart surgery patient.  Ray has been a resident of Richmond Hill for the past four years coming from Pensacola, Florida where he retired from AT&T after 35 years. He also served in the US Army.  Ray attended Richmond Hill United Methodist Church, and he also was a member of Art on the Coast where he won several awards.

Ray is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kathryn Layton; four sons, Jeff Clifton (Renee) of Reidsville, GA, Gene Clifton (Susan) of Savannah, Tony Clifton (Teresa) of Cleveland, GA and David Layton of Panama, FL; a daughter, Jane Moye (Tony) of Savannah; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. 

Services will be Saturday, October 27, 2012 with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel.  Internment will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
