James Ray Lovett

Hinesville Command Sergeant Major (RET) James R. Lovett, 70, died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at St. Josephs Candler Hospital after a long illness. He was a native of Columbia, SC and lived in Hinesville for the past 30 years. He served his country during Vietnam and retired from the Army after 26 years. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. Mr. Lovett enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors are his wife Kyong Ok Lovett of Hinesville; sons James Lovett Jr. of FL, John R. Lovett of Virginia, Paul Lovett of California, and Marco Lovett of Germany; daughter Ruth Lovett of Germany; many grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville with Full Military Honors. Carter Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
