Richard Jenkins

Richmond Hill Richard L. Jenkins, 56, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Savannah Hospice House surrounded by his family. He owned and operated R. L. Jenkins Construction Company and attended Spirit of Peace Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Pratt and Evelyn Jenkins; two brothers Philip Gilmore and Ray Gilmore. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Barbara Jenkins; children Richard Brian Jenkins and wife Brandy of Meldrim, Laura Lee Jenkins of Savannah and Brooke Ashley Jenkins of Richmond Hill; Grandchildren Dylan Michael, Marissa Rose and Riley Logan; brother Donald Jenkins; sisters Faye Pevey and husband Sam, Georgia Simmons and husband Marshall and Debra Kieffer; several nieces and nephews also survive. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel and burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West.
