Eddie West Frazier

November 21, 1934 — December 19, 2012

Midway Eddie West Frazier, age 78, was called home to Heaven December 19, 2012 after a short illness. He entered Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, VA in 1950 and graduated in 1954. He then joined the Air Force in late 1954 and was discharged in 1964. He began working in computer operations for the Postal Service and held many positions while there including a mailman which had been a dream of his since childhood. He retired from the Postal Service in 1992 and enjoyed his retirement. He was a jolly outgoing person with a big smile and hug for everyone. He was a member of the South Newport Baptist Church of Townsend, GA. He loved the Lord and was committed to his faith. He was preceded in death by his Father, Sausa Frazier; Mother Miola Trott and his beloved Uncle and Aunt, John N. and Lucy Taylor who raised him and was loving parents to him. Survivors are his wife, Mary Lou Frazier of 37 years; 6 cousins which are his brothers and sisters, Dell (Doug) Barns of Belhaven, NC, Pat (Polly) of Whitakers, NC., Rell Killerbrew of Rocky Mount, NC., Patricia Osborne of Black Creek, NC., John (Nancy) of Raleigh, NC., Betty Jean (Ron) Viola of Ocala, FL., and many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his wife, family, church family, friends, and neighbors. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the South Newport Baptist Church Property Fund at 23344 U.S. 17 Townsend, GA 31331. Visitation will be 5-7PM Friday, December 21, 2012 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 with Rev. Eric Grissino officiating. Burial will be in Whitakers, NC.
