Andrew Boaz Swann

Sunrise 12/27/1948 Sunset 12/29/12 Andrew Boaz Swann was born to Olivia Jackson and Boaz Swann both preceded him in death; Andrew was born in the Bronx, New York. He was raised in Savannah, Ga. by his devoted Aunt Mamie Jackson who also preceded him in death. Andrew was educated in Chatham County School System. He was employed by ILA before becoming disabled. Andrews son Mario A. Blackwell preceded him in death along with his sister Sadie Jackson. He leaves behind to cherish his memories: His wife Bernice B. Swann (separated) three daughters: Yvette B. Williams, Tameka L. Swann, and Brandi D. Blackwell all of Savannah, Ga. Two brothers: Leroy Hutchinson (Jacksonville, Fla) LaRue J. Swann (Bronx, New York). Three sisters: Sandra Washington (Atlanta, Ga) and Debra Chaney (Richmond, VA) Charlotte Powell (Jacksonville, Fla.) He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held 11: a.m. Saturday, January 5,2012 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel.
