Hinesville Oscar Marrero, 52, died Sunday, April 14, 2013 after a short illness at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. He was a native of Bronx, NY. And has lived in Hinesville for the past 8 years and served in the U.S. Army. He was a volunteer at the local Chapter of the American Red Cross and a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Bronx, NY. Oscar is survived my mother Iris D. Marrero of Hinesville; 5 sisters, Elba Kettleman, of Hinesville, Iris Negron of Bronx, Sonia Rivera of Long Island, Nancy Colesanti of Florida, and Yvette Marrero of Up State, NY.; 3 Brothers, Higinto Marrero of Long Island, Edwin Marrero of Hinesville, and Hector Marrero of Ludowici. Visitation will be held Tuesday 6-8 pm at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral arrangements and burial will be in Bronx, NY. Under Ortiz Funeral Home 2580 Grand Concourse Bronx, NY. 10458.
