Herschel "Karen" Downs, 62, died Sunday, May 12, 2013 at her Son's home in Clarksville, GA. under the care of Hospice. Born Grand Rapids MI, She grew up in Niceville, Florida before moving to Hinesville, GA 42 years ago. Karen worked for the Hillman Group and was a member of Full Gospel Holiness Church. She is survived by her Daughter: Tanya Downs Gould (Michael ) of Allenhurst, GA., Her Son: John H. Downs (Debra) of Clarksville, GA Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home. Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 16, 2013, Pastor Glenda Cooke Officiating. Pallbearers: Michael Gould, Barry Bowen, Willie Davis, William Cooke, Ulysses Brown, and Herman Wiggins. Burial will be in the Hinesville Cemetery.
