Ludowici, GA Betty J. Bradley Reed, 72, died Friday, September 27, 2013, in Candler Hospital in Savannah following a short illness. Born in Long County, she lived in the Gum Branch area of Liberty and Long Counties her entire life. She was a Baptist by faith. A Master Cosmetologist and Barber, she worked in several salons including Curly's Barber and Style Shop, Hinesville, and AAFES Barber Shop, Fort Stewart. Mrs. Reed was predeceased by her husband of 38 years, Skip Reed, who was employed with the Liberty County Tax Assessors office for over 25 years; her parents, Olan E. Bradley and Mavis Yarbrough; and her stepfather Hansford Yarbrough. She is survived by two sons, Curtis Reed of Shenandoah, PA, and Gregg Reed of Hinesville; a daughter, Melanie Reed Ramos of Hinesville; grandchildren, Tela Reed of Black Run, PA, and Cassie Reed Dillon of Girardville, PA, Angela Strickland Reed Corman and Ryan K. Reed of Hinesville, Kyle DeLoach, Brittney Deloach, Sabreena Ramos, and Michael Duff of Hinesville; great grandchildren, Victoria, Evan, Caden, and Zennah, and Cameron, Hailey, MaKayla, and Hunter; brothers, Larry Bradley of Orwigsburg, PA, Harris Bradley of Schuylkill Haven, PA, Lloyd Bradley of Glenville, GA, Henry Yarbrough of Hastings, MI; sisters, Annette White of Hinesville, Glenda Yarbrough Irwin of Douglas, WY, and Brenda Yarbrough Barnett of Ludowici; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Reed was predeceased by brothers Jimmy Bradley and Wallace Bradley; and sister Judy Ferguson. Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel with the Reverend Jack Yarbrough officiating.
