Ethelda Darsey Lee

Hinesville, GA Ethelda Darsey Lee, 96, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013, after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Hinesville, a member of the Hinesville First United Methodist Church, Ollie Darsey Sunday School class, Liberty County Historical Society, a Garden Club, Cherokee Rose Country Club Ladies Golf Association, and was retired from Civil Service on Fort Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Lee; two children, James D. Lee and Carol Melton; and granddaughter, Beverly Lee. Mrs. Lee is survived by three children, Lawrence O. Lee (Joyce) of Midway, R. David Lee (Jackie) of Mims, FL, and Dorothy L. Jordan of Hinesville; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel, and a Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:30 in the chapel. Burial will be in the Hinesville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that remembrances be made to the Hinesville Cemetery, P.O.
