Barbara Holbrook

Pooler Barbara Harn Clanton Holbrook, 74, died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed life to the fullest. She lived most of her life in Richmond Hill. She was a Christian with strong beliefs in God and family, enjoyed family, and had to overcome several obstacles to enjoy life. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Lucille Clark and Jesse Harn; stepmother, Gladys Sherwood; son in law, Jarry Eichrodt; brother, James Franklin Harn; and sister, Marie Lockley. She is survived by her husband, Delmer Holbrook; children, Mike Clanton (Peggy), Janet Perry Anderson (Andy), and Sharon Clanton Eichrodt; stepchildren, David Holbrook (Patty) and William Holbrook (Terry); siblings, Linda Richards (Dr. Robert Richards), La Verne Hodges, Dr. Douglas Harn (Debra), Sarah Mosley (Steve), Dot Strickland, Fran McDonald (John), Elaine Kersey (Terry), and Mildred Arnold; and grandchildren, Kristin Clanton, Hunter Clanton, Worth Straughan, Margo Straughan, Phillip Perry, Matthew Perry, and Dianna Clanton Eichrodt; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2013 at Carter Funeral Home Bryan Chapel with burial to follow at Daniel Baptist Church Cemetery.
